Any way to install APKs? I want to get some games.
There’s a number of ways.
Method 1 - Plug your OUYA into a PC with the Micro USB port and drag your APK onto the OUYA’s internal storage. Install FilePwn from the DISCOVER store and navigate to your APK that you had dragged and dropped. Press ‘O’ on the controller and click install!
Method 2 - Go to MAKE on your OUYA and use the upload APK functionality. Follow the onscreen instructions from there
Method 3 - Stick the APK on a USB stick and plug it into the OUYA’s USB port. Install FilePwn from the DISCOVER store and navigate to your APK that you had dragged and dropped. Press ‘O’ on the controller and click install!
Method 4 - ADB install. Connect to your OUYA via ADB and use “adb install (enter APK location here)” to install it onto the OUYA.
Please note that every APK has a minimum API level. Any new games probably won’t run as the OUYA is only running Android 4.1. So look around for games that were developed for that Android version and earlier. Hope that helps!
