Has anyone tried painting the aluminium controller faceplates? If so, did you use any primer before or etching solution?
You’ll probably want to sand it down first
I haven’t tried yet, but I presume I will sometime in the near (maybe January?) future.
It is a metal, so I would recommended a metal-binding paint. And like @NYYLE said, would recommended sanding with a 500 grit first to really make that paint stick.
You might want to put a clear coat to protect the paint. But a thin coat otherwise you’ll lose that metal feel.
I’ll make a tutorial when I finally get around to it if someone else hasn’t beat me to it.
