First time owner, need help installing an emulators frontend

I just got an Ouya, for the first time, I replaced the API server to https://ouya.cweiske.de and managed to get some emulators from there and added some roms to an USB drive, but it would be nice to have a frontend for them.

I installed Nostalgia, it said I have to pay $1 to unlock it, but the payment didn’t work. I saw the site is offline, so I figure the app is dead.

I then installed RetroArch, but I’m having problems finding cores that work for the Ouya.

I also saw XBMC in previous posts and videos but it’s not in the shop anymore.

Pls help!

Follow the instructions at Restoring OUYA game purchases or use the ConnectYA script that can do them for you.

Then you can use Nostalgia.

I used the ConectYA script and it works, thanks!

Hello, are there some games that can no longer be unlocked? I’ve followed all the instructions. Let me know thanks

Nearly all games can be unlocked - only Final Fantasy 3 needs special care.
The other ones that have problems say so on their description.

Your problem description is pretty vague; we’d need more details what you did and what problems you have to help you.

Ok, let me give you the details

  1. I download a game for discover
  2. I navigate to buy it or donate now and click yes
  3. A screen will pop up asking me purchase confirmation and click yes
4.Another screen will pop up, it said insufficient balance account balance said $42.23
5.My options are Credit card or redeem
  4. I go to redeem and put random numbers
  5. Finally I click summit, and nothing happens
8 I press A button and the game resumes, but still demo or try it

My ouya has been rooted, I followed the video on how to root. I install xposed and downloaed plain purchases I went to the xposed app, its active, and plain purchase has been clicked. I also rebooted ouya, but I still get the same results.

let me know if you need any more details.

Thank you for the quick respond  :).

If everything is setup correctly, then all games automatically appear as purchased. There should not be any option to buy it (except for in-game products).
My guess would be that either xposed is not enabled, or that the plain purchases xposed module is not active.

IT WORKS IT WORKS IT WORK :grin::grin::grin::grin::grin:

All I had to do was install xposed, su, and plain purchase on internal storage NOT USB :grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin:

I figured it out :rofl::rofl:

Thanks again for the fast reply and your willingness to help. Much appreciated… :grinning::grinning::grinning::grinning:
